If I can figure out how to submit the raw files to LensFun I will get that done. LensFun does not have the profiles for my lenses, yet. I have them for LR 5.7.1 but will need them for a Linux or Chrome editor. I do need the lens correction for raw files. The subtle nuances of color and definition. If I can keep to the Chromebook I would be happy but there do not seem to be Chrome editors which will work with a 6000 x 4000 raw file. Thanks for reading this, thanks for any input. Who has used the Chrome apps and can compare them to the Linux? I will probably build a Linux laptop from an old one I have so I will need to choose between Chrome apps and Linux ones for travel. I will need to edit some pics or at least view them. I am going to be away for a month or so and will take the camera with me. There are some more LInux editors and Chrome has Polarr which does ARW and Pixlr which does not. And if ARW and JPG are both 6000 x 4000 pixels, what's the advantage of ARW?Īnyway, aside from LR there is also GIMP available on W7 and also Linux. Apparently JPG's are corrected in the camera. I currently use LR 5.7.1 and do not like it much but it is powerful and does have the Sony lens profiles for ARW files.
